Sorry about the serious lack of blog posts, study has well and truly taken over.
That said, I somehow managed to find time to stop by at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI, which sounds horribly like acne...) gift shop, where I picked up some sexy males to adorn my new bedroom. James Dean was a gorgeous man and Cary Grant is definitely Total Boyfriend Material... so fine!
I also became the proud owner of a set of keys! YAY! I've moved all my stuff over to the new place and will officially move in next week- I'm currently sleeping on a dodgy fold out couch with a mouldy (literally) baby-sized doona... ah the bohemian life!

Hello Beautiful, it has been far too long!

It's a week today since my last post and I have been itching and scratching, kicking and screaming to get on here and write something new. It's funny how quickly this blogging hobby has turned into something I really love and even need.
Unfortunately, I am currently in the worst time of year for university students everywhere: SWOT Vac. Assignments and exam preparation have taken over, along with unwashed hair and copious amounts of tea (see above!)
After Thursday I should have a little more time to blog but, until then, here are some photos of what life is looking like at the moment.
I've relocated to the small yet sunny room upstairs and it's mighty photogenic.

My earliest memory of partying is probably Christmas at my grandparents house. I was three years old and had to sit at the "kids" table, dining on a pre-cut, smaller version of the elaborate meal enjoyed by my tipsy parents.
As I got older, my idea of celebration moved away from family gatherings and became more self-centered and therefore more desirable. On the 21st of January I would get a whole day dedicated to my birth, usually accompanied by a group of school friends coming over to play pass-the-parcel and eat animal-shaped chocolate cake, frosted with pink icing and motherly love.
It wasn't until I was 16 that I realised that there needn't be a special occasion for celebration; all one needs to party is some friends, music, and, in the case of your average Australian teenager, a goon sack.
This weekend was a culmination of all the above; there was family, there was an occasion, there was cake, and there was booze...

It was my beautiful cousin Nandi's 21st birthday party.
And it was brilliant.

I won't go on and on with words, but let's just say it was a night of sharing conversation, kisses, and a batch of extra special brownies...
